Key term revision

Conglomerate - large organisation that own subsidiaries e.g Disney own marvel. 

Distribution - method in which media products are delivered to their audiences. e.g. Disney uses Disney + to display their content. 

Synergy - when you choose the most effective method of marketing, using your subsidiaries to maximise success of a brand, through cross promotion. e.g. Black Widow - merchandise, toys, adverts.

Horizontal integration - when a company can promote across different media subsidiaries.

Joint venture - two or more companies come together to create a product with shared ownership a e.g. Derry Girls by Hat Trick Production and Channel 4 

Mise-en-scene - everything inside the frame e.g. lighting, colour, iconography, makeup, costume, blocking, acting, setting

Continuity Editing - invisible editing, not supposed to notice the cuts. 

non-continuity editing - you can see where parts have been cut e.g. flashback, flash forward, montage

Panning - sets the scene, to show where we are and when we are. Left to right, right to left. 

Composition - how you film something, e.g. rule of thirds
