What is desensitisation?

When you see something which is horrifiying multiple times, then you brain will get used to seeing it and then you won't be as scared and horrified about it. 

What is moral panic?

An instance of public/mass media concern or 'panic' in response to a media product that is regarded as threatening to certain groups or debasing agreed meal standards with society.
